A House probe, a DoJ investigation and an Arkansas child support case are plaguing the First Son

We’ve come a long way in the two and a half years since the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop were unleashed on the world.

In addition to the splashy, X-rated photos and videos of Hunter surrounded by drugs and prostitutes, the New York Post‘s reporting honed in on a set of emails that suggested Hunter’s foreign business dealings involved his father, President Joe Biden. In one email, an official for the Ukrainian energy company Burisma thanks Hunter for the “opportunity” to meet then-Vice President Biden. In another, Hunter’s business partner alludes to setting aside 10 percent of a deal with a Chinese firm for “the Big Guy.”

These bombshells served as the flashpoint for a series of investigations that are finally nearing their conclusion. The House Oversight Committee continues to reveal damning evidence regarding the Biden family’s foreign corruption, a federal prosecutor is nearing a decision on whether to charge Hunter with tax and gun crimes — and Hunter may be compelled to testify in a case involving child support in Arkansas.

During a press conference on Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee, led by Representative James Comer, explained that the Biden family received more than $10 million from foreign nationals between 2015 and 2017, both before and after Joe Biden served as vice president. Comer alleged that the family ran the money through a tangled web of companies and bank accounts in order to hide the source of the payments.

The payments include “millions of dollars from China,” much of which came from persons and companies with ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Comer said it was “inconceivable” that Joe Biden wasn’t aware of the CCP-connected money flowing to his family.

In addition, the House Oversight Committee uncovered a financial connection between the Biden family and Romania. The Bidens raked in more than $1 million from an allegedly corrupt Romanian national while then-VP Biden was working on issues related to the country. The payments stopped shortly after Biden left office.

Comer called it a clear attempt to “peddle influence.”

There are at least nine Biden family members who were involved in the scheme, per Comer: Hunter Biden; James Biden; James’s wife, Sara Jones Biden; Beau Biden’s widow, Hallie Biden; Hunter’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle; Hunter’s current wife, Melissa Cohen; and “three children of Joe Biden’s son and Biden’s brother.”

“The DoJ needs to get off its ass and investigate,” Representative Nancy Mace asserted during the presser. “We’ve done the work for them so they can’t screw it up.”

Reports last week said that prosecutors were weighing whether to charge Hunter Biden in a years-long investigation into alleged tax evasion and making a false statement when purchasing a firearm. Hunter’s lawyers recently met at the Department of Justice to discuss the case. The accusations involved whether Hunter hid business income, including from his aforementioned foreign connections, in order to avoid paying taxes.

Legal expert Jonathan Turley notes that although Hunter paid his tax bill after the start of the investigation, charges are still on the table. He also explains that Hunter could have even bigger issues due to his failure to register as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agent Registration Act while “facilitating access for foreign clients,” although that does not currently appear to be part of the probe.

Individuals who have been following the Hunter Biden saga closely, though, believe the child support case in Arkansas is actually the best chance at Hunter being fully exposed. House committees can investigate, but they obviously cannot charge anyone with crimes or compel anyone else to do so. The 2018 tax and gun case is small potatoes when compared to the allegedly vast conspiracy involving Ukraine, the CCP and now Romania. But in the Arkansas case, Hunter himself will have to account for all his financials because of his request to reduce his child support payments.

“The worst thing going on for Hunter right now is the Arkansas child support suit. The rest — House Oversight, DoJ probe — is a clown-show,” a source with intimate knowledge of Hunter Biden’s network said. “House members are politically ineffectual and anything the House does lacks real teeth — whereas Arkansas has actual power to compel testimony under oath. And because it’s a civil case, there’s no pleading the Fifth. If he lies, that’s perjury — and he’ll be tried in that county, in a jury comprised of its citizens, where 80 percent of people voted for Trump in 2020.”

“His finances are the beating heart of the scam,” the source added. “That’s what we’re all sitting around frothing at the mouth about.”

The child support case involves Hunter Biden’s daughter Navy, who was born in 2018 as the result of a brief affair with Lunden Roberts, a former stripper. Hunter has never met Navy and tried to deny paternity until a DNA test proved he was the father. Since then, Hunter says he has paid $750,000 in child support and currently pays $20,000 a month. Hunter requested an adjustment to the payments, which Roberts has denied, while also asking that her daughter be able to use the Biden last name so she can enjoy the same benefits as Hunter’s children born in wedlock. Roberts has accused Hunter of hiding his income while posing as a “destitute artist” — a nod to Hunter’s burgeoning painting career, which some have flagged as another potential money laundering scheme.

The Biden administration is acutely aware that Hunter Biden’s day of accountability is approaching, and is keen to shut down questions about the various probes.

The New York Post was recently denied entry to Biden’s speech Monday on airline policies. Even though the room was not even close to full, the New York Post was told that the White House was “unable to accommodate your credential request.” Steven Nelson, the Post‘s White House correspondent, noted in a column about the incident that his outlet had previously asked Biden about his family’s ties to China in the same room where Monday’s event was held.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre shut down a question in the briefing room asking if Biden was monitoring the child support case and why he refused to acknowledge his seventh grandchild, Navy.

“I’m not going to speak on that from here,” she snapped.

The child support case demonstrates how so many of Hunter’s problems are self-created. If he hadn’t left his laptop at a repair shop, its contents would not have been with the FBI and the media. If he had kept paying his $20,000 a month in child support, his finances would not be open to the court.

Similarly, reports have said that the White House is frustrated with Hunter’s aggressive communications and legal strategy in response to the various probes, which they believe opens him — and thereby his father — to even more attacks and scrutiny.

Joe, however, is said to support Hunter’s attempts to punch back, so recent planted stories have a softer tone. Politico is now reporting, for example, that Joe Biden’s allies are less concerned about the political and legal implications of Hunter’s impending downfall, and more worried about the personal affect it may have on the president.

“People close to Biden still worry about the personal toll it will take on a father who has already felt anguish about a son’s struggles amid a long history of family tragedy,” the Politico article reads. “And they wonder how long he can compartmentalize personal anger with the attacks on Hunter and the political calculation that he’s better off not responding to it.”

It’s a convenient, compassionate narrative that brushes aside any potential culpability in Hunter’s schemes. It’s worked thus far because no investigative bodies have shown real interest in taking on the Biden family’s deeply-seeded corruption. But it seems Hunter’s D-Day may finally be coming.

“It tells you a lot about this moment in the zeitgeist that a former stripper from the MPire club in Dupont Circle has more sway over the Biden family than Congress or the Justice Department,” the source with knowledge of Hunter’s network declared.
